Here is my mid year progress report, how close (or far behind) we are on our yearly goal, one sentence reviews for alllll the reads, and a few fun superlatives at the end! We're a few weeks behind schedule with this but better late than never!

Reading Goals for the year

Read 100 Books
No rereads
Finish two major BookTok Fantasy Series: Throne of Glass & The Zodiac Academy

I am really really proud of the fact that I've managed to read 26 brand new books this year as a chronic rereader. I feel like a "good" reading year for me is typically between 25-40 books with the vast majority being rereads.

I was perhaps a tad ambitious with the goal of 100 brand new books this year so I will be tentatively lowering the goal to 50 new books and perhaps allowing myself 50 rereads. Regardless I'm still not sure we will make it to 100 by January...but we persevere anyway!

I think the goal of reading both Throne of Glass and Zodiac Academy somewhat hindered my goal, since I got quite caught up in the pressure of finishing one series before starting anything else and ended up in a stalemate where I read nothing because I was burnt out.

I've learned from my mistake and I am now allowing myself to simply pick up whatever feels right and not feel pressure to finish anything I don't want to. This has helped immensely-- I'm reading more and I'm happier doing it!

What's on my TBR?

I am confident I will finish the Throne of Glass series fairly quickly and then my hope is to at least put a dent in The Zodiac Academy before the end of the year. Other than that I'm hoping to check off as many from my TBR as possible!!
